I have been doing mornings 6 am- 2pm which is not going to be my usual shift. I will be the 2pm-10pm girl which I am ok with. It sucks not being home in the afternoon with the girls. But at least I wont have to be up at 4:45 am. The best part is it is Monday- Friday only, no weekends woohoo. I am hoping that when another shift opens up that I will be able to take it. For now I am thankful that I have a job!!!!!!

Day 3 as a Nurse
So I got a job as a nurse in the nursing home. I had orientation on Feb 28th. My first day was March 1st. The first day was mainly following and observation. The second more of the same with some doing. Today was more in depth. I pretty much got the clinical part down (just need to get a little faster). It is the paper work and routine I need to learn. I got started on that a little bit today. I wish there was a handbook that says when X happens do Y...that would make things a lot easier :) I think that I am going to to like it. So far so good!

Happy St. Patrick's Day and Green Foods

It is St. Patrick's Day, so I decided to make green food for supper. Matt thought I was nuts and refused to eat the green mashed potatoes. But the girls and I had a blast cooking and baking the green foods. They thought it was cool. They even wanted to have green drinks...so sky had green milk and maddie had green water. It was fun and just might become a new tradition.

Got my days n nights mixed up?
I have always been a night owl. And I love to sleep in! We had a late night on Friday and I did not get to bed until 1am. I did not get up on Saturday until 11:30 am. Late night Saturday and slept in Sunday morning. Last night I stayed up until 12:30 am and got up at 6am to get the kids on the bus and then went back to bed till 9:30am. How do I do this with kids you ask? Well I was blessed with kids who like to sleep in too. But I have to get out of this routine and back into going to bed and getting up at normal times.
